FERRATUS ORIGEN 2017 SILVER AT THE SAKURA AWARDS

Asia’s largest wine competition

The “SAKURA”, Japan Women’s Wine Awards, began its history in 2014 as the first international wine competition judged solely by women wine specialists in Japan: sommeliers, winemakers, wine school trainers, journalists, restaurant and beverage managers, retail buyers and importers, and is chaired by Yumi Tanabe, an active and leading wine trainer in Japan.

The competition has gradually grown and has now become the largest and most important wine competition in Asia, with 4,652 entries from 25 countries in its last edition.

Aiming to “find wines that go well with Japanese home cooking”, “increase wine consumption” as the number of occasions to enjoy wine at home is increasing, and “promote women working in the wine industry”, this competition is made from the perspective of Japanese women, and is expected to further activate the wine culture and market in Japan in the future.

We are very happy about the silver medal won by our FERRATUS ORIGEN 2017 at the SAKURA Japan Women’s Wine Awards, we will continue to take on new challenges and move forward into the future. Cheers!
